Ceramic Coating Protection for a New Toyota

Ceramic Coating Protection for a New Toyota Corolla

There’s nothing like protecting a brand-new car the right way from day one. This week at Shine Division Detailing in Oceanside, we applied professional ceramic coating protection to a brand-new Toyota Corolla, giving it the gloss, depth, and durability it deserves.

Starting with Proper Prep

Even new vehicles aren’t perfect straight off the lot. We began with a thorough wash and paint decontamination, removing factory transport residue, light water spots, and surface contaminants. This ensures the ceramic coating bonds directly to clean, pure paint — not the dirt or dealer wax sitting on top.

Enhancing Gloss with Paint Refinement

Before coating, we performed a light machine polish to refine the surface and unlock that full, rich gloss. Under proper lighting, this step eliminates light marring or haze that often comes from dealership prep. The result: crisp reflections and an ultra-smooth surface that looks better than new.

Applying Ceramic Coating for Long-Term Protection

We used a professional-grade Shine Supply Beadlock Pro ceramic coating, which delivers years of protection against UV rays, road grime, and environmental fallout. Once cured, it forms a durable, hydrophobic layer that repels water and dirt — making every wash easier and keeping the paint looking freshly detailed.

The coating was also applied to the wheels and exterior trim, giving the entire Corolla consistent, long-lasting protection from top to bottom.

GM Black: Why Protecting This Specific Paint is Crucial When you own a black vehicle like this GMC Sierra, you already know how much attention it demands. There is no doubt that black paint is stunning and elegant, but it also requires extra care, especially when it comes to preserving a swirl-free finish. One of the biggest downfalls of black automotive paint is its sensitivity to swirls, scratches, and other imperfections — this is especially true when the paint is softer, which is common in most vehicles made by Toyota, Honda, and GMC. In this post, we’ll dive into how the softness of your paint affects the detailing process, and why it’s crucial to preserve it for the longevity and beauty of your vehicle. Softer paints typically feature a sensitive clear coat and are more responsive to pressure, abrasives, and environmental factors. This makes it easier for imperfections to form on the surface. Black paint, in particular, shows these flaws more prominently, which is why owners of soft paint black vehicles (like this GMC Sierra) should go the extra mile when maintaining their car’s finish.
